Fleet Street, Brighton is an award winning conversion a mothballed concrete shell into 6 small business units in an excellent city centre location.

This 600 square metre development, situated within a short walk of Brighton train station, met the much needed requirement for affordable ‘graduation’ space for small businesses in Brighton & Hove.

Reclaimed, recycled, natural and sustainably sourced materials were specified throughout and in-use operation energy was minimised by design.

A post occupancy evaluation was conducted by local energy efficiency specialist Gardner & Scardifield Energy 12 months after occupation of the last unit.

“At first glance this is a modest, almost everyday, project may not seen particularly noteworthy. However on close inspection it provides an excellent exemplar provide that could influence the commercial fit out and retrofit market. Well done to QED and their team."
