Becky is QED’s first apprentice and has recently completed her AAT level 3 accounting qualification. After returning from travelling, she was looking for a change of career from working in Early Years Childcare education and joined QED as Financial Administrator.
Becky has quickly become an indispensable member of the team. She is obsessed by receipts and her experience in childcare helps to keep the team in line. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and is always drinking tea.
Chris is a qualified chartered surveyor with more years’ experience than he would care to remember. Prior to founding QED in 1998, he was Managing Director of Wyncote Developments PLC.
Chris’s most notable achievement with QED was the delivery of the award winning £250 million regeneration of the former Brighton Station goods yard, a 13 acre site, boasting over 1 million sq ft of commercial space, as well as 400 residential units. The scheme is noted for its contribution to public art for which Chris is particularly passionate. After many years of motor racing Chris, who still seems to wear a tie in his semi retirement, enjoys this new found freedom travelling, spending time with his friends and family, working on his tennis game and despite extensive coaching remains an ever so amateur golfer.
Harry, who became a Director in 2019, joined QED initially as a consultant to help the business market and develop itself. He liked it so much he decided to stay and in addition to his marketing and communications role he works closely with Ross on driving the day to day operation of the business.
Harry is a communications specialist, having previously worked for the Skills Funding Agency and has a first class degree in Graphic design. He is passionate about business development activities which create measurable results. When he is not boring people with a story of how he once met the queen, Harry is a keen snowboarder and having recently learnt front crawl now an avid open water swimmer.
Mark is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years private practice experience, focussing on helping SME’s develop their business and financial strategies. Mark became a director of QED in 2017 having previously worked with Chris for a number of years.
Mark, who is married with three children, enjoys his time out of the office travelling, doing DIY or enjoying a pint.
Mark, who joined QED in 2016, has a passion for sustainable design and is the principal behind QED’s product development, feasibility and design work. His focus is on circular systems ensuring any design pays attention to the deconstruction and re-use of component parts.
Mark’s experience includes interior architecture, high end model making, working on film sets, as well as managing a 100-strong team as part of the ‘green and pleasant land’ installation at London 2012. Outside the office Mark enjoys running, cycling, cricket and 5-a-side football. Recently, he has enrolled for an MSc. in Green Building at the Centre for Alternative Technology.
Ross joined QED in 2005 having previously worked in manufacturing. He has a masters degree in sustainable development and is currently pursuing his RICS qualification. Ross is passionate about the built environment and the ability of meanwhile use to deliver meaningful regeneration.
Ross is married with three children, he is a keen golfer and open water swimmer. Having hung up his rugby roots a few years ago, when not spending time with friends and family he can be found pottering about on his small holding. Ross recently edited the book Movable Architecture.
Tiantian invested in QED in 2016. Her focus is in helping to develop and sustain the innovative business ideas, ensuring they are as effective, sustainable and socially responsible as possible. Having completed an MPhil at the University of Cambridge, Tiantian is currently finishing her PhD in Sociology at the University of Cambridge.
Tiantian focuses her academic skills and work with the United Nations to support QED's research tasks, including evidence-based research on social housing and urban regeneration, social policy analysis and market data analysis.
